Steam Workshop support, a developer SDK, and an official mod directory were not present in the sources checked. That does not prove community experiments do not exist; it means this guide cannot call them supported or safe.

Wait for documentation from Night Icons or a reproducible, transparent community method before changing files. A post that only supplies an executable is not documentation.

Back up before any troubleshooting change

The developer FAQ confirms manual and automatic saves and publishes save/log locations. Copy your save directory before reinstalling, moving stores, or testing a configuration change. Keep the backup outside the game folder so a clean install does not remove it.

Use the store client’s verify or repair function before replacing files. Keep a note of the version and exact change; undo one change at a time if a problem appears.

Do not use gallery unlockers, modified saves, or cracked executables

A “mod menu,” “uncensor patch,” “100% save,” or “full unlock” can be a disguised piracy or malware package. This site does not host or review those files. The game’s manual saves, gallery, and 44 achievements already provide a legitimate progress system.

If you only need a missed route, use a prior manual save or start a focused replay. That preserves achievements and makes troubleshooting easier.
